Supaman

Native American rapper Supaman was born Christian Parrish Takes the Gun in Seattle. Part of the Apsáalooke tribe (commonly and incorrectly known as the Crows), Parrish didn’t start out with musical aspirations. Throughout his difficult childhood in the Crow Agency in Montana, music was a comfort to him. Discovering hip hop, he found direction as a rapper, and later, a profound spiritual awakening helped him find his path.

In 2005, Parrish formed Rezawrecktion with three other members of the tribe, releasing the award-winning It's Time. The group fell apart while working on its follow-up, and Parrish went solo, becoming Supaman. Since then he’s recorded several albums, the latest being Illuminatives (2018).
