Julia Jacklin

Australian folk singer Julia Jacklin began classical singing lessons as a child. Influenced by the pop stars of her youth as well as iconic singer/songwriters like Leonard Cohen, Jacklin crafts intensely personal songs with special attention paid to her lyrics. Pitchfork has noted, “Her well-chosen words reverberate endlessly.”

She released her first album, Don't Let The Kids Win , in 2016. Her follow-up, released earlier this year, is Crushing. She revealed several singles before the album’s official release date, including our featured video,“Body,” along with “Comfort,” “Head Alone,” and “'Pressure To Party.” Joining her on the record were Georgia Mulligan on backing vocals, guitarist Blain Cunneen, Dominic Rizzo on piano, bassist Harry Fuller, and drummer Clayton Allen.
