David Carreira is a bona fide star in Portugal. While he was born in France, his family moved when he was young. It is there that he’s made a name for himself both as a vocalist, model, and actor. His videos have millions of views, and he’s won two MTV Europe Music Awards in the past five years.
Born into a musical family, his path seemed pretty clear. Though he hoped for a football career, an early injury dashed those hopes, and he followed in the family’s footsteps. His father, brother, and sister, Tony, Mickael, and Sara, respectively, are also singers. His mother is also in the business, as manager of Tony’s career.
His debut album, N.1, came out in 2011. In 2014, he collaborated with Snoop Dogg on the single, "Viser le K.O.". Last year he released his seventh full-length album, simply called 7. His TV work has also cemented his popularity, with a stint on the “Morangos com Açúcar ”series as well as the telenovela, “Louco Amor.”
