Singer/songwriter Anna Leone brings a soulful elegance to her music. Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, her early influences were formed by immersion in the works of Nina Simone, Cat Stevens, and Bob Dylan. Finding her own voice and crafting deeply personal ballads, like her debut single, “My Soul I,” released in 2017.
Her latest recording is the EP, Wandered Away on Half Awake Records out of Paris. The 5-track release was produced by Bryan Wilson (Arctic Monkeys, Florence and the Machine) and continues the journey inward. It includes “My Soul I” and other songs like “If You Only” and “I Never Really,” “Into the Cold,” and the title track, forming an intimate portrait of a young singer whose following is sure to grow.
