The Knocks

Ben "B-Roc" Ruttner and James "JPatt" Patterson are the men behind the NYC electronic duo, The Knocks. They chose this particular moniker as a nod to their former neighbors who would often knock on their door to complain about the volume of their music.

The duo keeps busy with its own projects, but earlier work with Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Sky Ferreira, Flo Rida, Ellie Goulding, Marina & the Diamonds, Theophilus London, and others earned them a nod from NME, which hailed the team as one of the “20 hottest producers in music" in 2010.

Releasing a handful of EPs and two studio albums, 2016’s 55 and New York Narcotic last year, they keep producing a compelling variety of music, from Brazilian influences to R&B. New York Narcotic boasts guests appearances from Method Man, Big Boi, Foster the People and Sofi Tukker.
