I'm not a fan of remakes but upon hearing this artist's remake of the classic David Bowie song Heroes I had to check him out. Nicolas Veroncastel from Rennes, France has been making music for quite some time. He is part of the Indie rock band LYS. He released his first solo EP last November and it's a mix of rock, jazz, and hip-hop. He is happy to be playing his favorite instrument the piano and wanted a more intimate setting.
He was first spotted by Steve Hewitt who is the drummer and songwriter for the band, Placebo and since then he has played throughout Europe at many of the music festivals and here in the U.S. He released the single, Waste this past January, and just yesterday premiered his version of David Bowie's Heroes.
