As we begin Latin Heritage month, this week we feature up and coming RnB singer-songwriter, Jenevieve who has a sultry and sweet voice. But she is not just an RnB singer, her background has many influences. She is a mix of Cuban, Bahamian, Spanish, and French roots. All this coupled with her hailing from Miami and you get the picture of how all that culture and sounds are mixed into her music. This 22-year-old singer says her influences were Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Prince, The Beatles, and more. She was born into a musical family but not as musicians but as dancers. Her mother and grandmother were ballet dancers and had Jenevieve take both ballet and flamenco dancing lessons as a child. Her music is a mix of RnB, Disco, New Wave, and Pop. All that mixed together creates a sound that is both sultry, sexy, and funky. She recently released her latest single, Baby Powder which is a laid back RnB funky song that is sure to have you relaxing with a glass of wine. In May she released a remake of the RnB classic, Tell Me by Groove Theory with producer, Benziboy. Check out this talented singer-songwriter and support independent music and musicians. Happy listening!
