Idles

I love nothing better than hearing some kick-ass rock music and Idles is that band. The band from Bristol, England plays the kind of post-punk music that you just feel the need to get up and jump around. Band members, Joe Talbot(vocals), Mark Bowen(guitar), Lee Kiernan(guitar), Adam Devonshire(bass), and Jon Beavis(drums) have been rocking together since 2009. The band says it took them a long time to get things started because they didn't know what they were doing at first but they finally got it together and the music is loud and it rocks. Although the band has been called a post-punk band, its lead singer, Joe Talbot rejects that label. Check out their song, Never Fight a Man With a Perm, it's bigger than life drum and bass sound will catch your attention, and then goes hardcore. Then check out their new single, The Beachland Ballroom and you can hear the different styles in music. Idles made their debut in 2012 when they released their EP, Welcome since then they have released several EPs, albums, and singles. In 2019 they were nominated for Best Breakthrough Act at the Britt Awards and Best British Breakthrough Act also for the Kerrang award. They recently released their new album, Crawler, and are now on tour. They will ring in the New Year opening up for The Stokes on December 31st at the Barclay Stadium in Brooklyn, New York. Be sure to get your tix, it's going to be a great night of rock and roll. Support independent music and musicians worldwide. Happy listening!
