Eliza

Singer-songwriter Eliza has changed her professional name from Eliza Doolittle to just Eliza. She is well known in the U.K. and plans on taking the U.S. by storm. Born in Westminster, England to parents who are both in the theater it was inevitable that Eliza(real name Eliza Sophie Caird) would follow. She would watch her mother as a child performing on stage and wanted to be a singer from a young age.

She chose the name Eliza Doolittle after the character in My Fair Lady and says it was her nickname growing up. She started first as a stage actress playing Cosette in the London stage version of Les Misérables. She also starred in the musical version of Secret Garden but things changed when she started playing around town with her band. She quickly had a following and in 2009 released her debut self-titled EP. In 2010 she released her debut album of the same name after signing to Parlophone Records. She has played at several music festivals like Coachella and South x Southwest and released two more albums but things changed in 2017. She decided to rebrand herself and changed her name to just Eliza and changed her style of music. She has collaborated with such artists as Disclosure, hip-hop artist Vic Mensa, and garage artist, Wookie. Eliza is now independent and just released her new single Everywhere I'll Ever Be, on September 16th will release her new album, A Sky Without Stars. Check out this multi-talented singer-songwriter and support independent music and musicians worldwide. Happy listening!
