One of my favorite types of music is Indie Folk music and there are quite a number of new artists making noise on the indie music scene in this genre. Dorothy Miranda Clark or better known as Dodie hails from Essex, England, and has been making music for quite some time. She is not only a singer-songwriter and guitarist but has also been a vlogger on YouTube. She is also known for playing the baritone Ukulele and from her teenage years began chronicling her life on YouTube. Her songs are mostly about love, loss, and yearning.
In 2016 she starting writing songs and released her debut EP, Intertwined. Her increasing popularity won her many fans and she got a spot on the Transatlantic Tour which brought her to the U.S. In 2017 she released her second EP, You which had a more somber tone and sound. In 2019 she released her 3rd EP, Human with an ever-revolving sound she continues to grow musically. All three of her EP's have charted on the Top 40 in the U.K. and she recently released a new single, Cool Girl from her upcoming new album, Build A Problem, with its release date of March of 2021.
