December Wrap-Up

Happy New Year! In 2018, our virtual musical globetrotter Rosie G. spotlighted artists from a wide variety of genres and locales, and this month is no exception.

Our December Featured Artists were New York's funky-rockers Snarky Puppy and classical/Flamenco guitarist Andreas Arnold (by way of Germany).

For Two fer Tuesday, Rosie featured Joyce Santana's Latin Hip-hop for Puerto Rico, and after this editor's technical difficulties were solved, we went on to properly feature not one, or two, but three Australian artists, including folk duo Hollow Coves and pop from Nathan Smart and Mansionair. More folk music came in the guise of Hattie Marsh from England/Thailand, while closer to home, we enjoyed R&B stylings from Texas' Peter Manos and New York's Mac Ayres. A visit to the Great White North revealed that Canada's Cat Clyde knows how to do country.

For Jazz Cafe we tried and failed to stay away from London, featuring Joe Armon-Jones. Binker & Moses, and Blue Lab Beats. The scene there is too irresistible to ignore. We did succeed with some geographical diversity by spotlighting Denmark's Lasse Mørck and Ecuador's Jazz the Roots.

We're just getting started. Stay tuned in 2019 for more amazing independent music from Rosie G. and playMYmusic.FM: unleashing the unknown, unsigned and unheard. Cheers!
