Christine and the queens


French singer-songwriter and producer, Heloise Adelaide Letissier or better known as Christine and the Queens first studied theater before she began her music career. She is from Nantes, France and it was in 2010 on her trip to London that she was inspired by drag queen musicians, including Russella. They later became her backing musicians. In 2012 Christine and the Queens won Best Discovered act known as Découverte du Printemps de Bourges and also the Adami Premières Francos award. Her music is a mix of genres from synth-pop to electro-pop and alternative R&B. She lists her musical influences from David Bowie, Bjork, Janet Jackson, Lou Reed, and more.
