Car Seat Headrest began as the solo project of singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, Will Toledo after graduating high school but decided to change gears. The band is from Leesburg, Virginia and had recorded 12 albums on their own and released on Bandcamp. In 2015 they were signed to Indie label, Matador Records and began touring a year later. You may ask where does the name of the band come from, well singer, Will Toledo would actually record his vocals in the back seat of his car and hence the name.
