Baroness

Heavy metal band Baroness is headquartered in Savannah, GA, though its members grew up together in VA. Starting out in 2003, the group has released several EPs and albums. The first full-length record began the colorful nomenclature that the foursome would continue to use to the present day. The Red album was issued in 2007, followed by Blue, Yellow and Geen, Purple, and most recently, Gold and Grey.

The group toured and recorded steadily, but it’s momentum was brought to an abrupt halt in 2012 when the bus they were traveling in fell from a viaduct and injured three group members, two of which with fractured vertebrae. Those two eventually left the group in . Singer John Baizley continued on, and now he fronts the group with revised members: Gina Gleason on lead guitar, Nick Jost on bass, and drummer Sebastian Thomson.
