This British newcomer has been making quite a splash on the indie music circuit. Singer-songwriter, Aziya started playing guitar at the age of 10 and was musically influenced by the music of Tame Impala and Led Zepplin. This 21-year-old knows what she wants and she is going after it. She is not only a singer-songwriter but is also a model.
She made her debut last year when she released her single, Slip which got her attention from Billboard and Vogue. She wants to be well-rounded both musically and her modeling. She grew up she says with a good mix of System of a Down, Santigold, and Stone Roses as well as Jimi Hendrix and Patti Smith. Her music is a mix of psychedelic guitar riffs with dreamy sounds or all-out rock. She doesn't really like to define what genre her music is categorized, she just wants her audience to enjoy the music with no definition. Her much-anticipated debut EP, We Speak of Tides will be released on July 2nd, and just released her latest single. Blood.
