Juan Zelada

Madrid-born Juan Zelada left his native Spain to pursue his musical dreams in the UK. A singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, he grew up in a musical family. He studied at the Liverpool Insitute for Performing Arts, an institution co-founded by Paul McCartney in 1996.

Wrapping up his studies in 2006, Zelada headed to London and first began plying his trade in cafes and bars in the city. Earning a reputation as a sideman, performing with Amy Winehouse on her Back to Black tour.

Zelada released his first single, “Breakfast in Spitafields” in 2012, receiving heavy rotation on BBC2 radio. The single got him noticed. He signed with Decca Records and released his debut album, High Ceilings & Collar Bones, later that year.

He followed up with an EP, Follow The River, and toured throughout Europe and South America. His most recent release is Back on Track. Describing his music as “soul and good times!” he continues to tour with his band, handling keyboards, guitar and vocals and sharing the stage with Francois Le Goffic on guitar, bassist Adrian Bartol Molina and Alex Moreno-Corz- on drums.
