Iman Omari

Los Angeles native Iman Omari is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Early work with Kendrick Lamar got him noticed, and he’s continued to make music on his own and in collaboration with Pac Div, Cee Jay, Dom Kennedy, Ty Dolla $ign, Mac Miller, and others.

Self-taught, Omari attended Alexander Hamilton High School of Music Academy. He brings his west coast roots to his sound, with a combination of jazz, hip hop and soul. Evidence of his musical influences (Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Herbie Hancock and Jay Dilla), but he brings his own flair and personality into the mix as well.

He is the founder of the Vibe Music Collective, “dedicated to connecting artists and providing members with a universal platform to share and develop their art with the global music diaspora.” Using this platform to promote a community of artists, he has also released his own music, most recently IHY, about which Hand Me the Aux gushes, ‘listeners get taken on a wave of unique sounds and smooth vocals that come together beautifully.”
