Moonchild

Part of the revitalized West Coast Jazz scene, Moonchild is a trio from Los Angeles that is getting international attention. Integrating soul with a foundation in jazz, Amber Navran (vocals, saxophone, flute), Andris Mattson(keyboards, trumpet, synth bass), and Max Bryk (keyboards, saxophone, and clarinet), the group release its debut Be Free in 2012 and followed up with Please Rewind two years later.

The trio’s third album, Voyager, added both harp and strings into its arsenal. More critical acclaim followed, with the UK’s Evening Standard proclaiming Voyager as “Space-age neo-soul loveliness.” After an extensive tour, Navran released a solo EP entitled Speak Up. The group recently released a new single, "Get To Know It," hailed by The Hype Magazine as “a laid-back track that will mesmerize the listener.” The trio is currently readying trips to both Jakarta, Indonesia and Cape Town, South Africa to perform at jazz festivals.
