This duo has been making some sexy-sounding music for several years now. The Lo Greco Brothers(Enzo and Gianni) from Italy have been producing and collaborating with such top jazz artists as Ray Charles, DeeDee Bridgewater, Jobim as well as Elton John, and even Stevie Wonder. Enzo Lo Greco plays bass, electric bass, guitar, and piano as well as producing and composing. His brother Gianni is a drummer and percussionist and produces as well. Both of them are well sought after musicians for their virtuosity in not only jazz but other music genres.
Their music is both NuJazz and Acid Jazz both of which mix jazz with soul, hip-hop, and bossa nova. They have played with the best on the Italian jazz scene as well as internationally. In 1993 they released Seguti D'Autore a jazz album mixing Meditteranean music and later re-inventing themselves playing with trip-hop and drum and bass DJs in England. Constant elevation musically is what both brothers are always seeking when mixing jazz with other sounds or genres. The Lo Greco brothers have been influenced by bebop, Latin, and Brazilian jazz and also mix some funk and soul into their constantly changing melting pot. Their love of playing jazz live and having DJs mixing it live along with them is what they live for. The duo is also known as LoGreco Quartet and Soulstance.
