Charlotte Dos Santos is a Brazilian-Norwegian singer who is getting attention. Raise in Norway, and now based in Brooklyn, she listened to pop, R&B, jazz and classical music growing up. She earned her degree at Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music, specializing in jazz vocal performance as well as writing and production. She has brought all of these influences to bear in her own music.
Based in Brooklyn, she’s been making the rounds of various European festivals, like Maiden Voyage, an event that gathers jazz, Afrobeat, funk, and hip-hop artists from around the globe. Her performance at Mutual Intentions’ label takeover with Boiler Room was another highlight.
She released her debut EP, Cleo, in 2017. The Fader noted her voice “sounds like it belongs in a smoky speakeasy.”
