Adi Meyerson

The sounds of the double bass are rich and deep in sound more than the electric bass. More and more women double bass players are coming up in the jazz world. This talented bass player who is also a composer and arranger started her musical journey while in Isreal where she learned to play bass guitar at age 14. She then relocated here to New York City to continue her studies in jazz at the New School.

She has studied with the best in jazz from the legendary Ron Carter to Billy Harper and Reggie Workman. She has been making a name for herself playing such venues here in New York like the Fat Cat, Dizzy's Club, Smalls, and many others. Adi Meyerson has a great respect for jazz and is not afraid to travel outside the bounds of this genre. She is also an educator and is part of the Jazz For Young People program. She leads her own band, Adi Meyerson band and they made their debut in 2017 with the album, Where We Stand and this past August released her second album, I Want To Sing My Heart Out. You can catch her playing around NYC at some of the jazz clubs. Check out this talented bassist, composer and arranger. Support independent music and musicians worldwide. Happy listening!
