NEW MUSIC MONDAY

Baby Rose must have an old soul. Her lustrous voice is reminiscent of the great female jazz and R&B vocalists of yesteryear and belies her age. Growing up in North Carolina, she began her musical journey at age nine, she was already making recordings before she was a teen. Her 2017 mixtape, From Dusk 'til Dawn garnered attention from the likes of Sza, J Cole, and Ari Lennox, with whom she toured two years later. That same year she released her official debut To Myself. Her follow-up Through and Through was well-received and continued to grow her reputation. Her latest, the aptly titled Slow Burn, was produced by the Canadian psychedelic-jazz-hip hop group and production team BadBadNotGood. This six-track EP offers the kind of neo-soul to permeate your brain and make itself at home.
