Super talented jazz drummer, producer, and educator, Ulysses Owens Jr has for several years helped young musicians. Hailing from Jacksonville, Florida he started playing the drums by age 3. When he became a teenager he decided that jazz was what he wanted to pursue.

He has traveled the world as a jazz drummer and has played with the best in jazz from Kurt Elling to Christian McBride and many others. He has never forgotten where he came from and started a charity called Don’t Miss A Beat. The charity helps to inspire and enlighten children and teens here in Brooklyn and in Riverside. He made his debut in 2012 with Unanimous and released his next album in 2021 called Soul Conversations.
