Fabiano Do Nascimento

THE JAZZ CAFE

by Rosie G.

September 24, 2023

Brazilian-born and Los Angeles-based Indie jazz guitarist, Fabiano Do Nascimento is an up-and-coming guitarist. He has a long family history of music that goes back to his great-grandfather. He studied piano from an early age but when he heard the sound of the guitar he quickly switched instruments.

He has always loved Brazilian music and American jazz, and through constant practice and study mixed both genres in his music. He is self-taught in jazz and when he moved to the U.S. he quickly was in demand for his music. He was a well-sought session player who has played with such artists as R&B singer Aloe Blacc, Mia Doi Todd, and others. His combination of samba and choro along with American jazz has fans and critics praising him. He made his debut in 2009 with the album, Convivência and in 2015 released his sophomore album, Dança Dos Tempos.

He has released several albums since then and this past July released his new album, Das Nuvens. Check out the songs, “Thrdworld” and “Stranger Nights.” His mix of jazz along with electronics on this album is superb. He is now on tour and be sure to catch him live when he comes to your city or town. Support independent music and musicians worldwide. Happy listening!
