The music will captivate you and then you want to know more. Borealis is not a band but a project by jazz guitarist, Joe Steels from Birmingham, England. The melodic soundscapes he creates make you want to sit back, relax with a glass of wine, and unwind.

Joe Steels graduated from the Birmingham Conservatory in 2019 and moved to Cumbria and Northumberland. There he took in all the beauty and composed several songs with great improvisation. If you see the sites of this city you will fall in love with the gorgeous view. You will understand why he was so inspired. His musical influences are Grant Green, John Scofield, and others.

The other members of Borealis are Ferg Kilsby on trumpet, Asha Nicholson on vocals, Dan Brown on piano, Paul Susans on bass, and John Hirst on drums. The band just released their self-titled debut album last week and is now on tour. We hope they come to the States to play some gigs.
