This married duo, which consists of guitarist/vocalist Flavia Couri from Brazil and her husband, drummer Martin Couri from Denmark is my new favorite band. Their music is a combo of post-punk garage music that is infectious. They have been compared to rock duo The White Stripes but with a much more melodic style.

They made their debut in 2015 with the album Here Are The Courettes with their explosive and raw style. They have a huge following in Europe and played their first tour of the U.S. in 2023. They have released several albums since their debut. At one point they were scouting other musicians but decided that the two of them would suffice with their sound. They just released their EP Shake with the single of the same name. When they come back to the U.S. be sure to check them out live, you won’t regret it.
