Mexican singer-songwriter Valeria Jasso is creating quite a stir in the Latin music world. She may be only 24 years old but she knows exactly what direction she wants to go. She wants to put southeastern Mexico on the map.

She hopes to inspire others with her stories and I believe it's working. Her music is a mix of Latin folk-pop. Growing up she would listen to boleros ( ballads of love songs) that were played at home by her musician grandfather, and a genre that was her mother’s favorite. An influence that is prevalent in her songs.

She made her debut in 2021 with the single, “El Alma” and released her debut album Suspiros last year to critical acclaim. She just released her latest single, “Dejarte” with Latin singer-songwriter Guti Cámara. Valeria Jasso is representing the Yucatán with pride and is now on tour.
