I love this all-girl rock band from Canada. The Beaches consists of lead singer/bassist Jordan Miller, Kylie Miller vocals/guitar, Leandra Earl keyboards/vocals, and drummer Eliza Enman-McDaniel. The band got their name from the town where they all come from.

The sister's Kylie and Jordan Miller and drummer Eliza Enman-McDaniel started a band around 2011 called Done With Dolls. The band’s sound at that time was pop punk but after one of their band members left they renamed themselves The Beaches.

Their music is more alternative rock in sound with its loud and fun songs. They released their self-titled EP in 2013 and the following year, Heights. They were signed to Island Records at one point but have since left the label. They made their album debut in 2017 called Late Show and have released a few albums since then. In 2019 they were chosen as the opening act for  The Rolling Stones, No Filter Tour on their Canadian dates. How great is that! Now fully independent they just released their latest single, “Blame Brett.”

They will release their new album in September called Blame My Ex and a subsequent tour. They are set to play at the Mercury Lounge here in NYC on October 17th. Check out this great rock band and support independent music and musicians worldwide. Happy listening!
