TWOFER TUESDAY

Singer-songwriter Brian Fennell professionally known as SYML has decided to go off on his own and put out his own project. He studied classical piano from a young age often performing at his grandmother’s retirement home. At 18 he started writing his own music as his way to deal with the grief of losing a good friend. He attended Seattle Pacific University and graduated with a degree in music education with an emphasis on percussion. Since then he chose his name SYML which comes from the Welsh word for simple. He was part of the indie band Barcelona but has decided to go solo.

He made his debut in 2019 with his self-titled album and then a year later released his album, You Knew It Was Me. Many of his songs deal with his feelings about being adopted and finding out his biological parents are Welsh. One of the reasons he chose his professional name was to reflect that heritage. He just released his new album a few days ago titled The Day My Father Died with 15 tracks and he just started his tour. Check out this super-talented singer-songwriter and support independent music and musicians worldwide. Happy listening!
