Women seem to be dominating in many of the music categories and this country singer-songwriter and their band are no exception. Meet Sarah Shook & The Disarmers from North Carolina. A country band that is causing quite a stir in the industry.

Growing up in a Christian fundamentalist home, Sarah Shook had their music choices restricted with only classical music and gospel allowed. They are a self-taught musician on both guitar and piano. In 2015 they made their debut with the album Sidelong and have toured extensively throughout the years. Buzzfeed in 2016 named Sarah Shook as one of the top 5 women impacting country music today. They have released several albums since then and are set to release their new album, Revelations on March 29th. The band is now on tour be sure to check them out when they come to your town.
