This atmospheric alternative singer-songwriter is one to watch. Meet Penny Eau whose song “Deep Blue” caught my attention. Born and raised here in the States she never felt she fit in and at 18 left for England. She attended the Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and not only is she a singer but also a producer.
She has traveled the world performing her music and her musical influences are Bon Iver, James Blake, and The 1975. She is very passionate about mental health acceptance, and taking away the stigma of drug addiction. She made her debut with the single, “Lavendar & Gasoline” last year, and love her voice and the arrangements on the song. She also had her remake of “New York, New York” featured on Shonda Rhimes's Netflix original miniseries Inventing Anna. You can also catch her podcast called Penny’s Two Cents on her website pennyeau.com. She just released her new single, “Deep Blue” and I’ve added it to my playlist. Great lyrics and love her pitch and tone. Check out this talented singer-songwriter and producer and support independent music and musicians. Happy listening!
