There is nothing like a beautiful song to bring back memories of your loved one or past love. Singer-songwriter David Gray from Manchester and raised in Wales has some of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard in a long time.
David Gray started playing in punk bands as a young teenager around his neighborhood in Pembrokeshire, Wales. He continued to pursue his music career when he returned to England. He says his musical influences are Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Van Morrison, and Bruce Springsteen. All those influences are evident in his songwriting and music. After a few years of playing locally, he made his debut in 1993 with the album A Century Ends.
His voice can range from bittersweet to a soft gentleness that you can’t resist. He has released several albums and has caught the attention of roots-rock singer-songwriter Dave Matthews and he’s been signed to his label ATO Records. He just released a new single called “Place To Be” which appears on the soon-to-be-released album The Endless Coloured Way: The Songs of Nick Drake. Check out this amazing singer-songwriter and support independent music and musicians worldwide. Happy listening!
