From disparate points in the Western hemisphere, the members of MakeWar converged in Brooklyn to creates punk rock for our times. Jose Prieto (guitar, vocals) hails from Venezuela, Edwin Santacruz,(bass and vocals) is Colombian, and Greg (drums) emigrated from Florida. Evolving from an acoustic solo project to a trio, the group’s mission statement (of sorts) espouses fighting against negative influences from without and within while formulating some indelible sounds. The band’s latest album, Get it Together, is out November 1st from Fat Wreck Chords.
