April + VISTA

DMV is rapidly becoming the destination to find a thriving independent music community. Our latest focus on the Washington, DC scene lands on April George and Matthew Thompson, a duo known collectively as April + VISTA.

Vocalist George and producer Thompson have created music they have dubbed “stresswave,” a melding of R&B, soul, and electronica. With singles like “Own2” and “How To Get By,” the EP Note to Self, and its latest,You Are Here, under its belt, the duo continues to garner new fans and critical praise, with Fader calling You are Here, “...a lush and loving journey to right where you’re supposed to be.”
