Brandon Paak Anderson had some troubled times before he reinvented himself as Anderson .Paak. Making new associations within the hip-hop community, he eventually hooked up with producer Knxwledge to form NxWorries. The duo got attention from all the right people, and they were on their way. The team’s debut album, Yes Lawd!, was released in 2016. During the intervening years, each has pursued solo projects and collaborations with others artists, but they’re back now with Why Lawd? The result is an album of fresh R&B with plenty of guests (Snoop Dogg, October London, Charlie Wilson, Rae Khalil, Dave Chappelle, Earl Sweatshirt) to spice it up even more.
