Monday, July 24, 2023
Traveling through Zimbabwe, Kenya, South Sudan, and eventually the Comoro Islands (an archipelago east of Mozambique and northwest of Madagascar, US-based producer and drummer Andrew Smith thoroughly soaked up local music influences. Honoring his musical education, he chose to record under the moniker MÒZÂMBÎQÚE on his debut album, For Never & Ever in 2018. The rich electronic soundscape is augmented by guests The Philharmonik, Destiny Volina, and Pattie Lin.
