Monday, January 8, 2024

Growing up in South Carolina, a precocious Hannah Wicklund knew she wanted to make music her career at age 12. She began studying classical piano much earlier but switched to guitar at eight and formed The Steppin’ Stones soon after. She graduated from high school early and began touring at age 16. Eventually moving to Nashville and embracing life as a solo artist, she began a collaboration with bassist Sam Kiszka (Greta Van Fleet). The result is The Prize, a potent rock album crafted over two years. Showing off Wicklund’s talents as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Producer Kiszka contributes bass and keyboards while his GVF bandmate Daniel Wagner is on drums.
