A lot of indie rock has begun to sound formulaic, which is why Brighton’s Egyptian Blue stands out from the crowd. Employing more interesting drum work than the standard driving rhythms of many of their contemporaries and guitar riffs that harken back to more experimental times, Clash notes, “their placing and emotional control are reflective and considered.” The group’s debut album, A Living Commodity, heralds a band to watch.
