Making Movies

Xopa

When my partner Kristine from Indispensable Music told me about them, I checked them out. I fell in love with this song right away. Its a mix of Latin rhythms such as Cumbia, rock, and psychedelia with some great beats. This is one band I definitely need to see live for sure. Mi Gente you do us proud!

Fantastic Negrito

White Jesus Black Problems

What can I say about this artist, he just blew me away! He can rock, he can sing the blues and he's just awesome! I need to see him perform in person. Love the visuals in his videos.

Gabbie Hanna

Trauma Queen

Gabbie Hanna caught my attention with her song "Rewired." Great lyrics, and I love the tone and pitch of her vocals. I'm a singer myself, so I pay close attention to vocalists. She has a bit of Amy Lee of Evanescence sound in her voice but with a more earthy tone.

FEATURED TRACK: "Chisel"

Lissie

Carving Canyons

When I first heard this singer's voice, I thought my idol Stevie Nicks had recorded a new song. Her voice is so similar to Stevie's that it's uncanny. Great singer-songwriter.

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown

Shake the Roots

This band has a diverse sound and I love it. They can go from a country rock-type sound to this rocker. Who doesn't love good old-fashioned Rock and Roll?

The Cult

Under the Midnight Sun

You mean there was a new Cult album in 2022? I've always loved this band since I first saw them at the defunct Ritz now Webster Hall in the mid-80s. Ian Astbury did record a song in 2007 with British band Unkle called "Burn My Shadow" that was amazing. This band never disappoints. Glad the Cult is back.

FEATURED TRACK: "A Cut Inside"

Hot Chip

Freakout/Release

I love to dance, and if a song makes me get up to move then they had me at the first beat. Hot Chip released a song called "Down" that is on my playlist. I still love it!

FKJ

V I N C E N T

I'm all about the groove, and this artist has soul for days. FKJ, which stands for French Kiwi Juice, is one funky singer and musician. Anytime an artist mixes jazzy grooves with soul and funk, then I'm all in.

FEATURED TRACK: "Us"
