Happy New Year to one and all. We're kicking off 2023 with the Jazz Cafe featuring Indie jazz trumpeter/composer Nadje Noordhuis. Hailing from Sydney, Australia, her trumpet playing is heavenly. Touted as "one of the most compelling artists to emerge on her instrument in recent years," her music combines jazz with classical  and world music.

Now based here in NYC, she spends her time teaching (Manhattan School of Music and at Berklee College of Music) and playing with different jazz groups. Her self-titled album hit in 2012, and the follow-up, Ten Sails, in 2015. Listen to the song "Bluebird" with its beautiful, melodic trumpet sounds.
