Jazz pianist Kayla Waters has caught the attention of many in the industry and gained fans. Her parents observed their child, who they knew had a passion for music from the age of 10 months. Music was a stronghold in her house and she started playing the piano at age 6.

She observed her father who is jazz saxophonist Kim Waters, paying careful attention in navigating the music industry. Later she attended Howard University and studied piano performance graduating Summa Cum Laude. She has played with the best of them from jazz saxophonist Dave Koz to legendary Stevie Wonder and Patrice Rushen. She plays with her dad at many jazz festivals. She made her debut in 2017 with the album Apogee and followed it up a year later with Coevolve. She is a four-time Billboard Number 1 artist and has many accolades.
