Our second featured artist to start the New Year is the Indie goth post-punk-inspired band, Heartworms. We spotlighted singer-songwriter Jojo Orme early last year on our New Music Monday feature with our contributing partner, Indispensable Music Magazine, and she is back with her band Heartworms with great new music.

The band features not only Jojo Orme on vocals but also Lizzy Walsh on bass guitar, Jordan Hamlin on drums, and Gianluca Di Gisi on guitar. Singer-songwriter Jojo Orme has talked about her challenges with her career but now writes songs to let out her aghast and expression concerning negative forces. She doesn’t let anything stop her and her music has caught on, especially in England where she and the band are from. Her influences are PJ Harvey, Kraftwerk as well as Bauhaus and Siouxsie And The Banshees. They just released a new single, “May I Comply” and we are hoping for a new record this year.
