I have always believed in the church of funk and this band blew me away. We featured them
5 years ago on our New Music Monday they just released their new album last month. Ghost Funk Orchestra from our hometown here in NYC has been part of the R&B/soul music scene for several years.
In 2014 Sean Applebaum, a multi-instrumentalist started experimenting with sounds in his home studio. Their mixing of jazz, psychedelia, soul, Latin, and R&B is a wonderful marriage of funk that you can’t stop listening to. The band is now a 10-piece sound machine that’s a kaleidoscope of music styles. They made their debut in 2019 with the album A Song for Paul. Since then they have released several singles "and last month released their new album, A Trip To The Moon. Check out songs, “Again” and “Eyes of Love. They will play the Brooklyn Bowl here in my hometown of Brooklyn, NY on April 11th and will be on tour. Support independent music and musicians. Happy listening!
